David Roe
Blue Dog Ranch is owned and operated by David Roe, founder of Pacific Coast Dog Rescue. David has made a profession of caring for dogs. He created Blue Dog Ranch using over ten years of animal expertise.

"Having grown up in Marin County, California, an area that is acknowledged for its groundbreaking animal birth control policies and humane treatment of animals, I became aware of the problems facing our canine friends early on. After rescuing my first dog in 1982 and working for various rescue organizations as a volunteer, it became evident to me that even more care was needed. In 1998, I founded Pacific Coast Dog Rescue."

Since 1998, PCDR has grown from a small operation placing a couple dozen dogs per year to a large animal rescue operation. We have a shelter facility in Burbank, CA which is currently licensed to hold 80 dogs, and growing. In 2003 we helped place more than 250 dogs into loving new homes.

Sue Prockter
Blue Dog Ranch is managed by Sue Prockter. Sue also has been the Kennel Manager at Pacific Coast Dog Rescue for the past year and a half. Some of you might even remember her from Beverly Hills Kennel, as she was the Kennel Manager for a year prior to coming to Pacific Coast. She has had plenty of hands on experience working with dogs including socializing, training, and the handling of emergency situations.

All our staff have been trained and have worked at the dog rescue before working for Blue Dog Ranch. Everyone loves coming to work to be greeted by wet doggie kisses and tail wags! You just can’t be in a bad mood. We have a very unique team which is more like a family than a staff. We care for your pups as if they were ours.
